Thanks for the guy who deliver the meal quickly when I was watching the Golden State final game. The Sour and Spicy soup is just as what i eat in China, highly recommended to you all!

Food is very good. They're lunch specials are a great deal. They have some off moments but are usually very consistent the spicy sczechuan dishes with chicken and shrimp along with roast pork are very good. I've tried the pad Thai and have not ordered Thai food from here since. Stick with the Chinese food. The beef chow fun is a good noodle dish but could use a little green in it to give it some vibrancy. Just so dull looking for such a tasty dish

Last week I was in town and placed a delivery order. Very nice size portion of General Tao's chicken. The crab rangoon was some of if not the best I have ever had. I felt the same way about the pork egg roll. I will be sure to order again whenever I am in the area.

Two years after I reviewed this place, I find myself still going back on a regular basis. And there is no shortage of Chinese take-out shops in this area......but this is the one I prefer the most. And seriously, their lunch specials are still the best value around - enough for at least two meals if not three!

Everything takeout Chinese should be! We came here to pick up dinner for four, and the portions were generous. Sweet & sour chicken, shrimp with broccoli, vegetable lo mein were all standard; hot & sour soup was exceptional, and our friends who had never ordered it before were converts! Eggrolls were hot and crispy. No fortune cookies, but I only ate them out of obligation anyway. :) The restaurant is brightly lit with a few tiny tables in front of a drafty door, so not the most romantic of locales, but everyone else we saw there (4-5 customers came and left while we were waiting) was getting theirs to go as well.

Customer service is very average. I ordered the Seafood Thai Basil dish and was a little disappointed. The flavors were good, lots of seafood; however, there are 4 basil leaves in my Seafood Thai Basil dish. It seemed like they ran out of basil and substituted with zucchini.

I am very torn by this review... It is not often that I leave a negative review. Check the numerous reviews I've left. And you will see, I very seldom ever leave a scathing review. "This review serves as a WARNING!!! DO NOT dine in if more than one or two people." We made the mistake of eating here. And I say that, in that yes, it was a mistake in that we chose to "dine in". We had just picked my wife up from BWI and were looking for someplace for the family to eat. We saw good reviews, so we came. Our experience: We ordered three entrees (thai basil beef, noodle, and fried rice) and two soups (coconut & egg drop). Here were our issues: FIRST THE FOOD: - Expressly asked for no mushrooms, stated allergy. Mushrooms were in the fried rice. - Beef in the Thai Basil beef had that all too common spongy feel of old meat or something. That said, the sauce and flavoring of this dish was tasty. - Thai Coconut soup...really? There were a fair helping of vegetables. But I do not believe I could ever see this being called Thai coconut soup. There was just enough coconut to tint the broth. No, I am not being nit picky here. I am saying that compared to the coconut soup I've had at 20+ restauraunts. This was about 5% thickness. Imagine a quart of soup with a tablespoon of cocunut at best added. It was cloudy water with vegetables. Very disappointing. THE EXPERIENCE: (far worse than the food) - We were given three plates for a family of 5. Seriously, we had to repeatedly ask for more plates. - And silverware. We were given two sets of silverware. My children would like to eat too. Do you think a 5 year old is incapable of using a spoon? - We were given no bowls for the soup. When I asked for bowls they grudgingly gave me a small soup container. Finally I talked them into giving me a few styrofoam cups to use for soup. What did they expect my family to do? pass the soup around in circles. *** I am sorry, if a business is going to be this negligent, and hem and haw because I am simply asking for plates, spoons and bowls to eat with. Then they really need to remove the dining tables and label themselves "Take-Out Only". I'd probably give them 3 stars for takeout. The food was okay. I liked that they had some Thai influenced dishes. Even if they were sub-par for Thai. But the dining experience was one of the worst I'd ever experienced. I wager if one or two people dine in, it'll be an okay experience. You'll each have an entree with a plate and each be given silverware. But I would avoid any family or group coming here to dine in. Just totally not a cool dining experience. I am so so sorry I have to write such a poor review. I really hate doing that to a mom and pop business.

Got a delivery order to the Sleep Inn ...only a $10 minimum and I was being lazy...so great combination :) Got pork egg rolls, roast pork string bean wit white rice, and wonton/egg drop soup...delivery felt like forever cuz I was hungry as hell but they were very quick... It was the best pork egg rolls I have had in a long while...the best in the Baltimore area for sure... Portions are large...so have some for lunch tomorrow which breaks down to $5 meal per day ...savings! Everything was hot and seasoned appropriately...also the it was just the right spicy ;) Absolutely love the wonton and egg drop soup combo...wontons really adds substance to your typical egg drop soup... I will definitely be back :)

I used to love this place. Over the past year, the quality of their food has gone down hill drastically.

I wasn't expecting much when I ordered, menu unseen for delivery, but needed something to eat while at my very nice local hotel. I ordered hot and sour soup, shrimp fried rice and a vegetable egg roll. I ordered small portions. Imagine my surprise when I took the lid off the soup and saw very fresh sliced mushrooms floating on top-and the soup itself? -Wonderful! Maybe one of the best hot and sours I have had in the country-really! Fresh, firm strips of tofu, nice wood mushrooms-2 different kinds-this soup was NOT sitting around, it was made fresh-and man, it made all the difference-it was a large container, but I ate all of it at once! I then opened up the shrimp fried rice, and again, it had been made to order and was delicious! Plenty of good shrimp (as opposed to the tasteless or funny tasting variety) nice fresh vegetables-couldn't have asked for a better Chinese meal! The veggie egg roll was ok, nothing special, but that's okay the soup and rice more than made up for that. One thing though that I liked about the veggie egg roll-it was NOT dripping in grease like so many are. All in all, I may again order from Hot Wok before I leave. However the small portion of shrimp fried rice was in itself, 2 meals, so excellent value for money, and much better than average Chinese food!

We started ordering from this place when we had abysmal delivery service from the similarly named "Szechuan Hot Wok" nearby. Never had a bad thing here. Delivery is extremely prompt. Sometimes we've gotten our food in under a half hour. Portions are generous. Lots of vegetarian items on the menu. They've also got a Thai menu that I haven't been adventurous enough to order from. I highly recommend their combo plates. I always get at least two meals out of them.

Don't think I've ever had General Tso's Chicken with Zucchini, before ordering from this place today! Awesome! I went to pickup the food, and discovered they offer free delivery.... awesome yet again. I will definitely be frequenting this place when I am in the mood for some Chinese takeout!

I have to admit, I am by far the most American Chinese food eater in the world. I order only general tso's chicken, lo mein, fried rice, etc. This is the best place I can find in the area for it! Low prices, good food, fast delivery. I also tried the pad thai which was fantastic as well, so perhaps they have great thai food too!

Great coconut chicken! Never had anything so flavorful. Got it to-go. Fast service and hot food! Will definitely come back when I'm in the area.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
